Travel Walks: Former Konpira Grand Theater, Kanamaruza Route Map (October 2026)

This route map traces my rainy-day walk to Kanamaruza in photos, in the order I went. From Takamatsu I took the Kotoden line to Kotohira, then climbed the slope to Kanamaruza. Inside, I made a full circuit: the hanamichi, the dressing rooms, the naraku, the toya, the upstairs seats.

26 stops

26 spots in all, in the order I walked. The story behind each one is in the main article.

Solo Visit NoteEven on your own, you can explore everything from the hanamichi to the naraku, plus the dressing rooms, at your own pace. You may get to hear a guide's explanations. I somehow ended up staying three hours (haha). On a rainy day there were fewer visitors, so I could savour the quiet building at leisure.
