Soft serve on a hot day is always the right answer. I stopped by NeRoLi herb, a herbal tea specialist in Omotesando, for their vegan soft serve. This is the story of being thoroughly soothed by the cold and the sweetness. And yes, today was wonderful as always.
What kind of place is NeRoLi herb?
NeRoLi herb is a speciality shop for original blended herbal teas, drawing on British phytotherapy, kampo, Japanese herbal traditions and Ayurveda. It is in Omotesando.
Besides the cafe, in which you can enjoy teas and sweets, there is a well-stocked retail corner with herbal teas and more, and quite a few visitors seem to come just for the shopping. There were solo customers too, and the atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and take your time on your own.
I am actually a regular drinker of their Meguri Blend myself.

The green entrance
A calm, green-toned entrance. It looks every bit the herb shop, and my expectations were rising before I even stepped inside.
Thursday's Prime Quality★Today's Star
The vegan soft serve changes flavour by the day. Thursday is Prime Quality, based on an original blended herbal tea known for its sweet rose aroma and fruity taste. To be honest, I could not really detect the rose, but the texture was slightly firm, the sweetness was just right, and it was wonderfully soothing on a hot day. I liked being able to choose the brown rice cone, too.
Menu daydreams
The menu lists the flavour for each day of the week. Sunday is chai. There are drink sets as well, so next time it might be nice to take things slowly with a pot of herbal tea alongside.
Final thoughts
I had actually been hoping to try the rice flour pancakes as well, but the soft serve left me full and happy, so I gave up this time. The pancakes come as two big pieces, so the portion looks quite generous.
Lunch is delicious too, so I would like to go back again soon.
Next time, Sunday for sure. The chai soft serve is waiting for me, I hope.
